Study of Falls in Psychiatric Inpatient Units

Sara Baramzadeh, PhD, MArch et-al published a study in 2018 in the Journal of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association to determine the built environment’s influence on falls by inpatients in psychiatric hospitals.  Their conclusion was that “The physical environment plays an often-unexamined role in fall events and and specific locations.”  Read the full study here: Bayramzadeh-et-al-Psychiatric-falls.
