Project Description
Sarasota Memorial latest addition to its expanding Behavioral + Mental Health services is the Cornell Behavioral Health Pavilion. The three story building offers a continuum of care from acute inpatient care to intensive outpatient services.
The care model features a collaborative team of mental health experts to ensure Sarasota's community's residents have access to quality and compassionate care. The project was designed using best practices and innovative design elements to provide warm, welcoming environment where people of all ages can be comfortable seeking treatment. 82 private inpatient suites across four units dedicated for adolescent, geriatric, adult and acute populations

A sensory room on each patient floor with customizable light and music for optimal rest and relaxation

Common areas for patients including gym, screened balconies and open-air gardens

Our Work
BHFC Design provided consulting services from the early programming phase through the Construction Document Phase.
BHFC Design assisted the owner and design team with addressing the vital patient and staff safety issues inherent in this type of unit and create a state-of-the-art facility with a therapeutic environment that will be both safe and promote recovery of the patients.
